Single sign-on, or SSO, is the first line of defense for any organization looking to secure the apps, data and devices of their workforce. And with the rise in new tactics by hackers and bad actors, "Zero Trust" became the NIST to identify and mitigate this new perimeterless security threat. To make this rather complex architecture and security model easier to understand and supported by OneLogin's latest "Vigilance" product feature, my team and I came up with the concept of a "Supersquad" made up of everyday superheroes who wielded the power to stop phishing attacks, social engineering tricks and other nefarious acts meant to gain unauthorized access to organizations for ransoms or to disrupt business.
We really had fun with the subject matter and made a very technical e-book into a multi-volume graphic novel format. The first volume covered origin stories, backgrounds and introductory cybersecurity topics broken into bite-sized chunks, depicted through the lens of the Zero Trust Supersquad. Each superhero represented a security super power like Threat Tracking, Constant Verification, Microsegmentation, Privilege Access Enforcer and Security Vigilance.
In the second installment of the Definitive Guide to Zero Trust, more relevant and exciting adventures were chronicled. Centered around the 7 Pillars of the Zero Trust Extended Framework, this e-book illustrated how the superheroes upheld these key pillars, the benefits from always having a good plan and showed off how OneLogin supports their efforts.
Who said cybersecurity can't be dark and fun?
It's a bird, it's a plane, it's not your ordinary e-book...
Not only did we create an amazing 20 foot tall animating video wall of search lights for the theater area of our booth, our team wore "Security Squad" bomber jackets while staffing the booth.
